Residential & Mixed-Use Projects
A well-established and expanding architectural practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join its technical delivery team. This role is ideal for a technically driven individual who takes pride in producing high-quality construction information and enjoys leading the coordination of residential-led developments through the post-planning stages.
You will be responsible for translating client briefs and planning-approved schemes into fully coordinated working drawing packages, ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations, Nationally Described Space Standards, and relevant industry guidance. The role involves close collaboration with architects, consultants, developers, and contractors to ensure smooth project progression from Stage 4 onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production of detailed technical drawing packages and construction information
* Interpretation of planning approvals and incorporation into technical design
* Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and NDSS (including M4 Category 2 &
3)
* Coordination with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and external stakeholders
* Assisting in the delegation of project workloads across the technical team
* Monitoring programme deadlines and maintaining quality control standards
* Supporting junior technicians through mentoring and technical guidance
* Attending client meetings and consultant coordination sessions as required
About You:
* Minimum 5 years’ UK experience in residential or mixed-use development
* Background working with developer clients and volume house builders
* Strong technical detailing capability and regulatory knowledge
* Proficiency in AutoCAD;
Revit experience advantageous (training available if required)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
* Organised, methodical and quality-focused approach
* Desire to progress professionally and engage in CPD
* Full UK driving licence
