Associate Architect

Overview of the Role

Associate Architect job in Winchester, Hampshire, with an established practice offering flexible working, hybrid working, senior leadership exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing studio. The role is suited to a qualified Architect or experienced Architectural Technologist with strong design, delivery, and team leadership experience.

This established practice works across architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, master planning, town planning, and graphic design. The role will involve managing smaller projects independently, contributing to larger-scale schemes, supporting studio growth, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary design and technical teams.

• Lead and deliver architectural projects from concept through to completion
• Take ownership of project delivery, client relationships, and consultant coordination
• Support the continued growth and development of the Winchester studio; manage smaller projects independently while contributing to larger-scale schemes
• Mentor and support junior team members within the team
• Work collaboratively across design, technical, and multidisciplinary teams

• Qualified Architect with ARB registration or experienced Architectural Technologist, Minimum 5 years’ post-qualified experience in a design and delivery-focused practice
• Strong project delivery experience across large-scale architectural projects. Healthcare sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Experience leading small teams and supporting the development of others
• Working knowledge of Revit, or a commitment to develop the required level through training

Salary dependent on experience, part-time hours from 80% full‑time equivalent or full‑time hours, flexible working, hybrid working, comprehensive benefits package, mentoring support, and the opportunity to become an integral part of the senior leadership group.
