Job Overview
Conservation Architect job in Winchester, Hampshire, for an ARB-registered Architect with strong UK heritage experience. The role is focused on conservation, listed buildings and conservation area projects, with involvement across all RIBA work stages. It suits a confident Architect with sound planning knowledge, technical judgement and experience supporting sensitive heritage schemes through design, consent and site stages.
Responsibilities- Lead conservation and heritage projects
- Support all RIBA work stages
- Prepare listed building consent applications
- Liaise with Historic England
- Attend site inspections
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors and specialist craftspeople
- Produce drawings, specifications and tender documentation for conservation project delivery
- ARB-registered Architect
- Strong UK heritage project experience
- Knowledge of listed building legislation
- Traditional construction knowledge
- AABC or RIBA accreditation preferred
You need experience with planning, conservation area applications and historic detailing. Strong organisation, client coordination and onsite decision-making skills are also required.
