Overview of the Role

Architect job available in Winchester, working on bespoke private residential projects. The role covers all RIBA stages, with a focus on detailed design, planning submissions, technical delivery and construction documentation. Projects include new‑build homes, sensitive refurbishments and extensions, offering scope to combine creative design input with strong technical expertise.

Established architectural practice delivering bespoke residential and contextual design projects across private housing and heritage settings. The collaborative studio works on new homes, renovations and conservation‑focused developments, with a structured approach to design quality and technical delivery. Training, mentoring and knowledge sharing support continued professional development.

• Deliver architectural projects across all RIBA work stages
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and construction packages
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
• Lead or support planning applications and related documentation
• Produce technical details compliant with UK building regulations
• Attend site meetings and inspections during construction

• ARB‑registered Architect with at least 3 years of post‑qualification experience
• Experience delivering UK‑based architectural projects
• Strong knowledge of UK planning, building regulations and construction methods
• Proven residential or comparable technical detailing experience
• ArchiCAD proficiency or willingness to undertake structured training
• Strong communication, coordination and workload management skills
