Teacher of Chemistry (Part‑time)
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and talented part‑time Teacher of Chemistry from September 2026 at this welcoming and highly successful independent school. This is a substantial part‑time teaching role which will need to be spread over at least three days.
Responsibilities- Teach Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE.
- Teach Chemistry up to A level, ideally with experience delivering A‑level Chemistry in an academic environment.
- Contribute to the Science Department team of eight full‑time and three part‑time teachers and three laboratory technicians.
- Plan and deliver lessons for years 7–9, and for Key Stage 4 & 5 as outlined by the school curriculum.
- Experience as a qualified teacher or a well‑qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Ability to teach Chemistry/Biology to GCSE and Chemistry to A level.
- Desirable: experience delivering A‑level Chemistry in an academic setting.
- Successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
The salary will be according to qualifications and experience on Farnborough Hill’s own generous pay scale.

The Science Department is housed in six modern, well‑resourced laboratories with prep rooms and a science staffroom. There are eight full‑time members, three part‑time members, and three laboratory technicians, including the Head of Science (Physics) and subject leaders of Biology and Chemistry. The department offers OCR and AQA specifications for A level and GCSE, and has a strong record of sending pupils to top universities.
