NEOS Engineering is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced

Generator Engineer to join their expanding team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of sites maintaining, servicing, and repairing generators up to2000kVA, ensuring reliable and efficient power supply for critical operations.

• Service, maintain, and repair diesel generators up to 2000kVA
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
• Commission and decommission generator systems
• Perform load bank testing and equipment performance checks
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures
• Provide technical advice and professional support to clients on-site

• Proven experience with diesel generators up to 2000kVA
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of engine control systems and generator management
• Familiarity with major engine brands (Perkins, Cummins, MTU, Volvo) is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Manufacturer-specific training or accreditation
• Load bank testing and commissioning experience
• Electrical qualifications or NVQ in Engineering
• Experience in critical power, data centres, or standby power environments
