Our client is seeking a talented Senior Town Planner to join their growing team. The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice to a broad client base. You will manage your own projects, contribute to business development initiatives, and provide guidance to junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects from inception through to determination.
Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
Undertaking planning appraisals and providing strategic planning advice.
Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, consultants, and clients.
Preparing reports, planning statements, and representations.
Monitoring planning policy developments and advising clients accordingly.
Supporting and mentoring junior planners within the team.
Assisting with client relationship management and business development activities.
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
MRTPI qualification (or working towards chartership with significant relevant experience).
Proven experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy framework.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Experience managing planning applications and client relationships.
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for clients.
A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
