Planner – Winchester Planner Join a Leading Planning Consultancy in Winchester

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Planner to join a well-established planning consultancy based in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to develop their career while working on a broad range of residential planning projects across Hampshire and the South East.

You’ll become part of a collaborative team delivering planning applications for small to medium-sized residential developments, working alongside experienced planners, architects and technical consultants. With a strong pipeline of projects and an excellent reputation within the industry, this consultancy offers genuine career progression and continued professional development.

The Role

As a Planner, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of planning applications from initial site appraisal through to planning approval.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications for residential developments.
  • Producing Planning Statements, Design & Access Statements and supporting reports.
  • Undertaking site appraisals and planning research.
  • Liaising with local authorities, clients and external consultants.
  • Monitoring planning policy and legislative changes.
  • Attending client meetings and site visits across Hampshire and the surrounding counties.
  • Supporting senior colleagues on larger strategic developments.
About You

We’re keen to speak with planners who have experience within a consultancy, developer or local authority environment.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • RTPI accredited Planning degree.
  • MRTPI status or working towards Chartership.
  • Experience preparing planning applications.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of the English planning system.
  • A proactive and organised approach to project delivery.
