Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer role in Winchester, leading building services design for a multidisciplinary consultancy. This full‑time permanent position involves managing electrical engineering across defence, healthcare, education and commercial projects, developing technical solutions, overseeing delivery, and mentoring junior staff.

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a range of sectors.
• Produce detailed electrical design solutions, calculations and technical documentation.
• Develop designs using industry‑standard software, including CAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux and Relux.
• Attend client meetings and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Present designs for stage reviews and technical peer reviews.
• Undertake condition surveys and produce technical reports.
• Carry out third‑party design reviews where required.
• Manage projects from inception to completion.
• Work collaboratively with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with current legislation, Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.

• Experience with in an electrical building services design role (consultancy or contractor).
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
• Experience producing electrical calculations and specifications.
• Proficiency with software including Amtech, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience working across a variety of sectors.
• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive approach with a desire to continue developing professionally.
