Hazardous Waste Management Ltd, Winchester, ENG, GB.
HWM Group is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing civil engineering team. Working across a variety of groundworks and infrastructure projects throughout the South of the UK, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established and expanding contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality groundworks and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Setting out and surveying for a range of groundworks and civil engineering projects.
- Working from CAD drawings, engineering drawings and digital models.
- Coordinating site engineering activities to meet contract programme requirements.
- Ensuring company procedures are followed during all setting out operations.
- Communicating technical information effectively to site teams, operatives and subcontractors.
- Carrying out and recording as‑built surveys.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and health & safety on site.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer within the UK civil engineering or groundworks sector.
- Experience using modern surveying and setting‑out equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- HNC, HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Thorough understanding of UK civil engineering and groundworks practices.
