We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. If you can run projects under your own initiative, have MRICS or working towards achieving this in 2026 this role is an ideal career opportunity for you.

Our experienced team works on projects worth up to £1bn with clients including leading life sciences, large corporations, housing associations, contractors and developers.

What you need to do to be effective in this role
  • Lead on all aspects of cost management from inception to completion
  • Manage large scale and/or multiple projects with key clients
  • Help manage and develop a strong cost management team
  • Support senior team with business planning and contribute to winning repeat business and new opportunities
  • Support and manage junior team members to deliver our cost management service efficiently and effectively. Also provide support for their ongoing development
  • Produce, high level feasibility studies, cost estimates and cost plans throughout all stage of the design
  • Evaluate the cost of building designs and alternative proposals to maintain project budgets
  • Prepare and issue tender documents
  • Manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and prepare recommendations to the client as well as advice on procurement routes
  • Advise on building contract terms
  • Attend meetings, prepare financial reports and monitor on the status of projects
  • Provide robust post contract cost control measures, establishing the effect of variations and evaluating and negotiating final account settlements
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and consultants
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional competence
The skills and experience you need to have for this role
  • Relevant degree in a quantity surveying, or similar, RICS accredited course
  • MRICS or working towards this in 2026
  • Experience of technically complex projects
  • Articulate, capable of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation and organisational skills.
