Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join a small, collaborative accounts team. This is a hands‑on role focusing on invoicing, client and supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. You must live near Winchester and be able to drive.

Duties
  • Assist with processing invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and promptly
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Facilitate insurance programme invoicing and documentation across the property portfolio
  • Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation
  • Support compliance with client money regulations and internal controls
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure data accuracy across various financial systems
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations
Skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good numerical ability and proficiency in basic arithmetic calculations
  • Familiarity with financial software or spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Prior experience in finance or administration is a plus but not mandatory
  • A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills and processes
