The Southern Internal Audit Partnership (SIAP) provide internal audit and consultancy services to a wide and growing portfolio of public sector partners and clients in the South of England.
Must have internal IT audit experience within a Local Authority
Remote position - Must be able to get to Winchester for Day 1 Induction and collection of laptop
To the end of December with possible extension
Paying up to £500 a day DOE
Enhanced DBS required
Must have an IT audit qualification CISA, QICA
The Role
In joining the team, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT audit assignments using a risk-based audit approach across a portfolio of partners and clients. You will work closely with both internal IT audit and client managers to establish potential risks and their corresponding control mechanisms; evaluate your findings and report the outcomes to the client.
What we are looking for
As an IT Auditor, you will be either qualified in QICA or CISA or hold an equivalent relevant qualification (Level
4), with post qualification experience. You will have experience and a good understanding of the role of internal audit in an IT environment to enable you to identify and evaluate client risk areas, particularly in relation to technology and digital. You will also demonstrate success at managing and controlling audits to professional and quality standards and within budgeted deadlines.
What you will do
Auditing
Direct and lead in the delivery of internal IT audit reviews to a variety of partners and clients across the South of England.
Using a risk-based approach, review risks facing the client and design a programme of work to review, evaluate and test the internal control framework in place to manage the risks. Analyse findings to assess the impact on the risk environment.
Form an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control framework currently in place to provide assurance to senior managers, Chief Officers and Members.
Negotiate on required actions to address identified weaknesses and agree timescales and responsibilities.
Contribute to the development of the IT audit practice by designing audit programmes and implementing new approaches to audit work.
