Credit Controller Based in Milton Keynes £28,000 - £33,000 Robert Walters is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in Milton Keynes to recruit a Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to play a key role in managing cash flow, reducing aged debt, and supporting the wider finance team. Working within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities Assess and approve credit applications for new and existing customers. Set up and maintain customer accounts within Net Suite. Review and manage customer credit limits based on risk assessments and available credit insurance. Monitor customer creditworthiness using external credit reference tools. Proactively collect outstanding invoices and ensure payments are received within agreed terms. Manage aged debt and follow up overdue accounts via telephone, email, and written correspondence.

Negotiate payment arrangements where appropriate. Investigate and resolve invoice queries and payment disputes. Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Teams and Contract Managers to resolve outstanding issues. Escalate high-risk accounts and recommend appropriate action where necessary. Provide regular reporting and updates on debtor performance and financial risk. About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable within a commercial environment. Experience using ERP systems, ideally Net Suite. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities. A proactive approach to debt collection and account management. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. A good understanding of credit risk assessment and customer account management.
