Are you a compassionate and reliable Senior Care Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in people’s lives? Kitnocks House is looking for dedicated individuals with at least one year’s experience within a care home setting to join our award-winning team.

Our 63-bed home is made up of four specialised units, each providing high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with complex needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, or other neurological disorders. What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience working in care home/ healthcare setting (essential)
  • NVQ/QCF level 3 or working towards this (essential)
  • Ideally already working in a SHCA role (desirable)
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
  • A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
Your Working Pattern

Week A - 3 days
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 07.30 to 20.00

Week B - 4 days
- Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday:
07.30 to 20.00

Total average of 40.25 hours worked per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Under supervision of the Registered Nurse, undertake support and guiding the care team to meet the daily care needs of our residents. This includes ensuring colleagues undertake allocated of breaks. support care delivery which includes personal hygiene, nutrition and hydration and participation in meaningful activities. The Senior would also participate in these activities to ensure the wellbeing of our residents is achieved.
  • Prioritising workload of the care team, seeking advice from the nurse in charge where necessary.
  • Participate in meetings including staff meetings, case reviews, clinical reviews, as prescribed by the Nurse in charge.
  • Helping residents to remain as independent as possible.
  • Respecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all times.
