Are you an Applied Psychologist with an interest in perinatal mental health and a drive to make a difference in the lives of families?

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate clinician to join our perinatal psychology team, to deliver specialist care across HIOWH. Our team supports people experiencing mental health difficulties related to pregnancy, birth and the first 2 years after their baby is born. We are committed to promoting the emotional wellbeing of the families we support with keeping baby in mind, being a central value we hold.

You would be joining a friendly and supportive psychology team of clinicians, who pride ourselves on delivering high quality care and promoting recovery. We are committed to continuing professional development and self-care, and ensuring staff are able to achieve the right work-life balance. All psychology practitioners within the service are embedded within MDTs contributing to the delivery of trauma-informed care, and offering psychological assessment and evidence-based therapies.

We offer a range of therapies, including:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, family interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

We are looking for someone with strong clinical expertise, able to work collaboratively using trauma-informed, formulation-driven approaches, and skilled in consultation, teaching, and training.

Regular regional travel is required.

Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will:
* Assess and formulate the mental health needs of patients experiencing or recovering from severe mental health difficulties in the perinatal period including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD & complex PTSD, EUPD, bipolar affective disorder and psychosis.
* Provide evidence-based psychological therapy (individual and group), as outlined by the NICE Guidelines and Quality Standards Pathway for Antenatal and Postnatal Mental Health Care.
* Offer specialist consultation and psychological supervision for members of the MDT, support with complex formulation at a team level and support clinical decision making.
* Deliver education and training for staff supporting families across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
* Undertake clinical supervision within the Service as appropriate, including for trainees on placement.
* Participate in service improvement, audit, and research projects.
* Demonstrate observable outcomes and impact of their work.
