Joining our Data Quality and Collection Team as a Data Collection and Compliance Officer
, you'll be committed to delivering excellent standards of data accuracy and quality. Thriving in a detail-focused environment, you'll transform raw information into accurate, meaningful insight.
You'll play a vital role in supporting and enabling data collection and its management across the directorate. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding children and supporting positive outcomes by ensuring that the data we rely on is accurate, timely and robust.
What you ll do- Carry out data collection and data quality activities within agreed timescales, including compiling statutory data returns, using validation checks and collaborating with information providers to ensure accuracy.
- Work closely with schools, colleges and Children s Services colleagues to maintain strong communication links to support timely, accurate data submissions and resolve data quality issues.
- Identify, investigate and correct anomalous data using databases and spreadsheets, to maintain reliable datasets and adherence to GDPR and departmental policies.
- Prioritise workload effectively, escalating issues when required, to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection processes and help shape new ones.
- Communicate professionally with external system users, including Headteachers, Principals, administration staff and wider County Council teams.
- A commitment to meticulous accuracy, attention to detail and maintaining high data quality standards.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in spreadsheets and handling large datasets.
- Practical experience working with data and ensuring accuracy within a school or educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective team working skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently.
- Self motivation, strong organisational skills, solution focused, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
