Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic - Master the Code with NO Weekends!

Are you a proper fault-finder looking for a role where you're valued for your technical brain, not just your spanners? We are hiring a skilled Diagnostic Technician / Master Mechanic to join our busy, long-established independent workshop in Winchester
. If you genuinely understand how to trace a fault-interpreting live data, reading wiring diagrams, and solving complex module communication issues, your new bay is ready!

  • Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 reliable basic salary (No stressful, unrealistic corporate targets!)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday ONLY (Strictly no weekends!)

What you will be doing:
  • Carrying out advanced fault-finding and systems analysis across petrol, diesel, hybrid, and EV vehicles.
  • Interpreting CAN bus faults, sensor/actuator data, scope readings, and complex wiring diagrams.
  • Resolving tricky module communication errors and complex mechanical issues from diagnosis through to full completion.
  • Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Repair (or equivalent experience), proven diagnostic mastery in a dealership or independent setting, a methodical problem-solving mindset, and a valid full UK Driving Licence (EV/Hybrid certifications are a big plus!).
