The Role:The Business Intelligence Manager will join the leadership team of Hampshire County Council’s (HCC) award-winning Property Service which is one of the largest in‑house property functions in local government. HCC Property Service is a multi‑disciplinary design, facilities and estate management team who hold considerable expertise in the stewardship of the public estate, delivering work that supports more than 1,000 sites and the 1.4 million residents across Hampshire.
This role is based in the Core Function alongside a number of teams that provide technical expertise to support project delivery and operational asset management across the HCC built estate.

What you’ll do:The Business Intelligence Manager leads a team of property professionals responsible for the development, management and utilisation of Business Intelligence to support the performance of the service and provide insight across the organisation. The focus is asset intelligence, holding responsibility for the Asset Management System (AMS) which supports reactive maintenance, compliance, estate management and asset strategy. The team oversees records management for the service for both digital and hard copy records and delivers continuous improvement projects relating to business intelligence, including the development of digital tools and systems.
What we’re looking for:The role requires effective communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. A good understanding of business intelligence and its role in providing insight into performance and evidence for strategic decisions is essential. The post holder must implement effective data governance ensuring compliance with policy and regulation. A strong leader who can provide clear direction and support team development is required.
