About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee the delivery of responsive maintenance works across Winchester. This role is focused on planning, coordinating, and driving the successful completion of repairs while leading a team of multi-trade operatives to achieve service, quality, and performance targets.
You will play a key role in ensuring works are completed efficiently, resources are effectively managed, and customers receive a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organise, and monitor daily repair and maintenance activities to ensure work is delivered on time and to specification
- Lead and support a team of multi-trade operatives, driving productivity, quality, and performance standards
- Allocate workloads, manage priorities, and ensure resources are effectively utilised across the programme of works
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual requirements
- Monitor progress against KPIs, identifying and addressing any risks to delivery
- Ensure all work activities are completed in line with health and safety legislation and company procedures
- Manage customer concerns and complaints, taking ownership through to resolution
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and service delivery
- Support workforce planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- SSSTS certification (essential)
- Experience supervising planned or responsive maintenance programmes, ideally within social housing
- Strong understanding of multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Proven ability to manage workloads, resources, and operational performance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within a maintenance environment
- Full UK driving licence
