42 hours – 4 on 4 off Nights

A cloud‑based data centre that has been a leader in research, development and innovation since the 1950s. The facility provides a secure environment for testing software, developing proof‑of‑concept solutions, and collaborating with specialists on industry best practices. As a Security Officer
, your main responsibility is to keep the site safe for employees, visitors and contractors, following assignment instructions and site procedures.

Key duties are to protect people, property and sensitive information while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional presence.

• Protect site, assets and people through patrols, CCTV monitoring and access control.
• Follow assignment instructions and maintain accurate incident logs.
• Enforce site safety and security procedures in a professional manner.
• Support health & safety: report hazards, assist with evacuations and respond to alarms.
• Help prevent loss, theft and damage; report suspicious activity.
• Operate security equipment and follow stop‑and‑search policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
• Handle calls, assist visitors and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Support management and uphold company values:
  Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness.

• Must be working towards a valid SIA Licence.
• Right to work in the UK and be 18+; no criminal convictions.
• Five‑year verifiable work history.
• UK driving licence (essential) and transport (desirable).
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

• Previous security‑officer experience of at least 2 years.
• First‑Aid qualification.
