You will be working toward advancing our goal of Powering Prosperity Around the World by providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers. You will also help shape the direction of one of our newest product offerings, Turbo Tax Live Business.
What You Will Do- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information responsibly and securely.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to obtain and deliver the correct answer to customers in everyday language.
- Interact virtually with customers via Smartlook, a state‑of‑the‑art video communications platform.
- Help Turbo Tax Business customers who are working on their tax returns or have delegated their tax returns with tax advice, full‑service business return preparation and signature, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing extensions.
- Create high‑quality customer interactions that instill confidence through empathy, deep tax expertise, and knowledge of books‑to‑tax accounting entries.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return‑preparation issues.
- Document customer interactions and work continuously toward meeting key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, demonstrated by 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season, using commercial tax‑preparation software.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax‑preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting, strongly preferred.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers strongly preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licences, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer‑service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools professionally, friendly, and confidently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
- Bay Area, California: $31.10 – $35.50
- Southern California: $31.10 – $35.50
- Colorado: $29.60 – $34.10
- Hawaii: $31.10 – $35.50
- Illinois: $29.60 – $34.10
- Maryland: $29.60 – $34.10
- Massachusetts: $31.10 – $35.50
- Minnesota: $26.60 – $33.80
- New Jersey: $31.10 – $35.50
- New York: $31.10 – $35.50
- Ohio: $26.60 – $33.80
- Vermont: $29.60 – $34.10
- Washington: $31.10 – $35.50

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
