REC Site Coordinator to lead and assist in the planning and implementation of our programs at Frederick County Public Schools. In this role, you will support recreational programs for young students, ensuring they have an enriching and enjoyable experience.

REC Before & After School Care
- 6:15 AM - 8:45 AM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Two days a week:
Office Hours 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM
REC Summer Camp Program
- 6:15 AM - 6:00 PM
- Overtime required on field trip, pool day, and playground days
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of innovative recreational activities tailored for elementary school-aged children.
- Serve as a liaison between parents/guardians and our part-time Program Assistant at the school site.
- Supervise and inspire staff and activity participants to deliver a top-notch experience.
- Procure necessary materials, supplies, and snacks.
- Manage inventory and supplies at the school site, ensuring all materials are accounted for and well-maintained.
- Assist in budget planning and management to ensure programs are well-funded and sustainable.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- At least 1 year of experience in childcare, recreational programs, Montessori, or related fields.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide youth.
- Independent decision-making skills and confidence to take initiative.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with a creative mindset.
- Willing to obtain MAT certification within 6 months of employment.
- Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.
