Airline Customer Service Representative in ATL Airport

Overview

Shenandoah University’s Child Care Center is accepting applications for a part-time benefited Teacher’s Assistant. The position is from 12:30 – 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday, located in Winchester, Virginia.

• Help the teacher maintain an organized classroom that is positive, safe, fun, and educational for the children.
• Assist teachers and assistants in all aspects of their classroom and with the children. Assist director and assistant director in operational tasks.
• Assist the director, assistant director, teachers and assistants in daily activities and classroom needs; work a flexible schedule based on staffing needs.
• Complete book orders, dishes, laundry as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all classroom matters.
• Keep an upbeat attitude; interact with children and communicate with parents about their child’s day.
• Feed, diaper and interact with all children; take children outside daily; clean and sanitize toys, cribs, tables and highchairs; stock and maintain diapers, wipes and ointment daily.
• Learn and implement licensing regulations.

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have previous experience working with young children in a group childcare setting.
• Have effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, good thinking skills, ability to focus on multi-tasking, cope with high stress levels, and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, have physical dexterity, and have the ability to reach arms above head.
• Must be willing to receive 16 in-service hours, CPR, and First Aid annually, and attend staff meetings.
