Part-time Assistant Teacher- accrued PTO

Shenandoah University’s Child Care Center is accepting applications for Substitutes. This is a part-time position with Accrual paidtime off located in Winchester, Virginia.

• Assist director, assistant director, teachers and assistants indaily activities and classroom needs; work a flexible schedule based on staffing needs; complete book orders, dishes, laundry asneeded; maintain confidentiality in all classrooms, keep upbeat attitude.

Shall be at least 18 years of age. Shall have previous experience working with young children in a group childcare setting.

Have effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, great thinking skills, ability to focus onmulti-tasks, cope with high stress levels, maintain confidentiality, must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, have physical dexterity, and have the ability to reach arms above head.

Must be willing to receive annually 16 in-service hours, CPR and First Aid, and attend staff meetings.

Note:

A pre-employment background check and urine screening willbe required, and a satisfactory driving record may be required as acondition of hire.
