Are you a seasoned engineering manager? Do you have experience working on capital projects and leading engineering teams within manufacturing environments? Wonderful! Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Winchester, VA company as they search for an Engineering Manager to join the growing team. The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and successful execution of projects and multi‑disciplined teams by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
This team requires a strong leader with a servant leadership style and a desire to do anything it takes to make the team successful. The position will pay $,000 for a base plus a quarterly bonus.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel
- Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes
- Oversees project logistics and resource allocation
- Mentors and develops team members to achieve their full potential
- Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and designs and to reduce waste
- Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments
- Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies
- Illustrates and explains technical information for engaging the broader TFC Team (non-technical stakeholders)
- Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines
- Collaborates with other team leaders and departments
- Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector by attending trade shows, conferences, and other sites by increasing awareness of possibilities
- Promote personal and company image throughout the community
Requirements:
- Technical Degree and ten years of relevant experience
- AutoCAD experience and knowledge
- Extensive Project Manager Experience and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Strong leadership experience
- Ability to travel at 25%
