Hands-on technology leader with deep telephony expertise who can lead multidisciplinary teams, understand networking/cybersecurity, and step into an executive role. NG911 and cybersecurity are valuable but should not outweigh the core telephony and leadership requirements.

We are seeking a leader to serve as our Chief Technology Officer. This role is designed for a technical heart who thrives on the duality of leadership: part strategic architect, part operational leader. You will oversee the company’s engineering team who supports our Managed Services Provider (MSP), Federal Consulting, and NG9-1-1 Interoperability Test Lab lines of business, ensuring that every engagement meets the high standards of reliability and security.

Successful candidate must have rich experience in IP networking, Cybersecurity, Voice over IP (VoIP) technology and Public Safety Communications.

• Bridge Strategy & Execution:
  Turn high-level company goals into technical reality by designing engineering roadmaps and managing them through to successful deployment.
• Operational Oversight:
  Lead daily engineering operations with a focus on resource optimization, milestone achievement, and budgetary discipline.
• Partner with company executives to turn business requirements into engineering roadmaps.
• Security Leadership:
  Oversee critical cybersecurity task, ensuring our mission-critical communication platforms are hardened against emerging threats.
• Team Development:
  Build a culture of excellence through active coaching, performance management, and strategic talent acquisition.

• Domain Expertise:
  Deep understanding of IP networking, VoIP, cybersecurity, and the specialized requirements of Next Generation 911 and Emergency Communications.
• Leadership: 7+ years of experience managing engineering teams and navigating complex project life cycles.
• Technical Depth: 10+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications and network engineering.
• Academic Foundation: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering.

• Immediate start is strongly preferred to allow sufficient knowledge-transfer/crossover.
• Preferred candidate should be local and within approximately 1.5 hours of the office due to the limited relocation package.
• This is a senior player-coach leadership role, requiring both engineering leadership and hands-on technical involvement.

• Telephony expertise is mandatory.

• Base:$150K–$200K
