Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with the premier health system in northern Virginia. We are looking for several talented Medical Laboratory Scientist with a generalist background to join our client's team to be a part of their growing night shift at their main hospital laboratory.

• Pay $29.40-$44.10/hr Depending on Experience PLUS SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

Job Description

Medical Technologists are professional health caregivers who constantly seek performance improvement in all areas of Laboratory analysis. He/she will interact and service all age groups including neonatal, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. They must be proficient in phlebotomy for the groups (if applicable). All technicians and technologists are generalists and must be able to perform automated and manual testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, and Serology.

They must have the ability to perform instrument maintenance and be competent to interpret calibrations and QC. They must be able to prioritize work and maintain a professional demeanor under stress.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  
  Note:
  
  Alternative degrees in science and U.S. military laboratory training can be accepted if CLIA alternative education requirements are shown to have been met.
• 18 months of hospital laboratory experience required OR six of the months in full-time equivalent general
• MT/CLS/MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent)
