Salary Range: $40 - $45/ an hour (Based on experience, with final offer reflecting the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and professional background.)

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting evaluations and assessments of residents’ physical abilities and limitations
  • Implement therapeutic interventions—such as exercises, modalities, and manual techniques—as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Provide guidance and instruction to residents on proper exercise techniques, safe mobility practices, and use of assistive devices
  • Monitor residents’ progress, reporting observations to the Physical Therapist for treatment plan adjustments
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of resident care in compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, resident-centered service
  • Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment in proper working condition
  • Maintain an average “Patient Care Time” (productivity) of greater than 90%
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality care delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing (or compact state equivalent)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Previous experience in rehabilitation or a long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to follow treatment plans with precision
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and therapy documentation
