JobPurpose and Summary
This Pharmacy Technician position supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store. Technicians are the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately while providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Execute pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Show empathy and genuine care to create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru and over the phone; deliver immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as accurately putting away medication deliveries, completing cycle counts and returns‑to‑stocks.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be open to feedback; actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to stores in the market as required.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy protection.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) when permissible by law and having required training and certification.
- State board of pharmacy licensure or national certification required; comply with all state practice laws, including age, education and licensure/certification.
- Minimum age 16 if not mandated by state board; minimum high school diploma or equivalent unless otherwise required state board.
- Complete rigorous company training program and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to state Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
- 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
Part‑time, 25 hours per week. Shift flexibility is required. All shifts are flexible.
- Monday: 8 am – 8 pm
- Tuesday: 8 am – 8 pm
- Wednesday: 8 am – 6 pm
- Thursday: 8 am – 8 pm
- Friday: 8 am – 8 pm
- Saturday: 10 am – 8 pm
- Sunday: 11 am – 7 pm
Weekend shift: every other weekend is required.
Pay Range$17.00 – $27.00 per hour (base rate).
