Job Description
Phlebotomist Level I will interact and service all age groups, including neonatal, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The phlebotomist must be proficient in phlebotomy for each group and is a professional healthcare provider who consistently seeks performance improvement in laboratory specimen collection processes.

QualificationsAll existing staff will be evaluated based on established criteria. All tiers must fulfill requirements to advance to a higher level. Any full‑time or part‑time phlebotomist is eligible to participate in the professional career advancement ladder. Temporary staff and per diem staff are not eligible. Participation in the professional ladder is optional; employees must request advancement and will be granted upon completion of required criteria.
Approval of advancement is granted/verified by the direct supervisor and is subject to change on an annual basis.
