Position Overview / Duties- Serve as the Technical Expert with responsibility for planning, coordination, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of District IT hardware and software systems.
- Manage system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability to ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
- Act as Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for all aspects of Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) relational database management system architectures.
- Administer and manage the physical and logical hosts in support of these technologies.
- Maintain systems configuration and resolve hardware/software interfaces and interoperability problems.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.

- Appointment may be subject to suitability or fitness determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- In accordance with DoD 8570.01-M dated 19 Dec 05, the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain Information Assurance Technical level II certifications.
- This position is designated as Non-Combat Essential and will be designated as Key in accordance with DTM 17-004. Position requirements include: a position cannot be vacated during an emergency without seriously impairing the mission.
- Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and is designated as noncritical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R.
