Glenloch Legal is seeking a full-time on-site Associate Attorney to join our thriving estate planning and business transactional practice and our team of professionals. We are a busy, growing transactional law practice in Winchester, Virginia, serving the immediate and surrounding areas in the Shenandoah Valley and Northern Virginia. We not only serve individuals and families, but we also serve as outside counsel for many local small businesses.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in drafting legal documents, providing expert counsel on estate planning and business matters, and collaborating with senior attorneys to deliver unparalleled legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities- Draft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including but not limited to wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, and family businesses while ensuring meticulous compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on advanced estate planning strategies, including tax planning and minimization techniques, asset protection strategies, business succession planning, and charitable giving and philanthropic planning.
- Negotiate, draft, and review a wide array of business contracts and agreements, such as purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements and bylaws, commercial leases, mergers and acquisitions documents, shareholder agreements, and employment and independent contractor agreements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining complex legal concepts and providing clear, actionable recommendations in a manner that is easily understood by non-legal professionals.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge management initiatives by developing and maintaining standardized templates, checklists, and best practices for estate planning and business transactional matters.
- Participate in business development activities, including client seminars and networking events.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in estate planning and business transactional matters.
- Skilled in document drafting and contract negotiation, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Unwavering commitment to providing exceptional client service and upholding the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.
