The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is seeking a Legal Secretary to play a key role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth operation of court processes. Core Hours

Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Secretary, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain legal case files in accordance with court procedures and internal standards.
  • Draft and process legal documents, including subpoenas, motions, and notices, with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise professionally with law enforcement, witnesses, attorneys, and court personnel to obtain and relay case information.
  • Manage case data using electronic filing systems, ensuring records are current, organized, and confidential.
  • Support general office operations by assisting with public inquiries, telephone communications, and mail distribution.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or any role requiring review and understanding of reports or agreements; relevant legal, criminal justice, or compliance education or certification accepted.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • 100% onsite position requiring daily attendance in the office.
