CNC Machinist Trainee
Location: 325 Arbor Court, Winchester, VA 22602
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM

What You’ll Do- Operate and set up CNC lathes to produce high‑quality, precision metal components in line with strict specifications.
- Inspect finished products with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure drawing adherence.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and safely adjust machine offsets or parameters.
- Participate in cross‑training duties such as laser marking, light mechanical assembly, or other tasks as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and perform routine machine maintenance and upkeep.
- Collaborate with the production team, maintain flexibility during rotating assignments, and complete all training programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training program, vocational coursework, or relevant manufacturing certifications is a plus.
- Strong reading comprehension and math skills needed for interpreting blueprints and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) or ability to learn quickly.
- Basic computer and data‑entry skills for recording production metrics.
- Prior exposure to CNC programming concepts or specific control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak) is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repetitive tasks.
