Filler Operator Job Description

Summary

Safely operates and maintains Filler Machine to fill and package Capri Sun drink pouches.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals. Participate as a co-leader or member of the Safety Team. Ensure compliance with company policies, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Dress Code policies.

Start up, operate, and shut down equipment including filling, cooling, sealing, straw placing, carton forming, carton filling and sealing, Video Jet coding, and conveying systems. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Monitor mechanical operations, troubleshoot issues, and notify technicians or Team Leads as needed. Know safety features like E stops.

Check product quality, including pouch code legibility, weights, temperatures, seal integrity, and sanitation points. Maintain HACCP standards.

Coordinate with Filler Utility for packaging materials, maintain cleanliness, and perform mini cleans, CIP, product pushes, and hot flushes.

Contribute to team development and participate in process improvement meetings. May stay over for second shift as needed.

Operate Quality Suites and OEE downtime programs efficiently on computer.

Assist filler utility responsibilities as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

This position also holds accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.

Working Conditions

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, cold, electrical risks, and vibration. Use of PPE including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, and bump caps is required.
