Summary
:
Support plant manufacturing/distribution operation. Operators are responsible for 5 palletizer areas. Ensure finished products (cases) are made into labeled pallets for shipment. The Palletizer team will be responsible for peco pallets, placing J-Leak pallets on the line, and relieving themselves on break.
Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals. General responsibilities include awareness in safety, product quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP’s). Operates, maintains, trains and troubleshoots palletizer, conveyors, stretch wrappers, IGPS RFID, ticket scanners and ticket applications. Performs quality checks on finished product cases for defects (pallet pattern, case printing, and codes dating, leakers, cartons PRN). Troubleshoots mechanical jams.
Replenishes labels and shrink-wrap film for the palletizer machinery. Uses a steel crowbar to unjam pallets that become wedged on roller system. Reworks pallets that collapse in the palletizer. Maintains good housekeeping; performs mini cleans to sanitize the equipment, floors, docks and other areas in and around the palletizer areas and CIP. Unloads pallets from trailer and loads hoppers. Marginal functions:
Maintains downtime log book, to record downtime incidents and technical/mechanical problems. Serves as a backup material handler during absence, vacations, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.
