The Cell Technician will assist the Process Technician by maintaining the flow of finished goods from molding machines and automation cells. The finished goods must meet the company’s quality standards, maintain target utilization, and minimize rejects. The Cell Technician is required to work with, understand, and problem solve equipment throughout the shift.
- Perform various technical functions required to support production including:
- label and placard roll changes
- hot stamp film and hot stamp die changes
- heat transfer set up
- color and material changes
- basic cell maintenance and trouble shooting
- work with Process Technician on mold changes
- Perform various functions required to support production including:
- Report rejects from the cell in IQMS
- Update downtime coding for automation cells
- Stage supplies and prepare work area for upcoming orders
- Read IQMS production schedule
- Assemble and decorate product per work order during assembler break and/or as schedule requires
- Train assemblers on work order details
- Report safety concerns or equipment problems to the Process Technician
- Continue learning injection molding auxiliary equipment and decoration processes
- Prior experience in manufacturing is required
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills required
- Must have technical aptitudes with ability to use basic hand tools
- Experienced in the use of powered tools
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Reliable, flexible, and excellent work ethic
- Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment with shifting demands
- High attention to detail
