Extreme Steel, Inc. is a growing AISC-certified structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator and erector serving the DC, Virginia, and Maryland areas. We are looking for an experienced, dependable individual to join our team as a Yard Supervisor
.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and lead a team of 3–4 yard employees during the second shift.
• Coordinate the movement, staging, and organization of structural steel materials.
• Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded accurately and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts to move steel materials throughout the yard.
• Assist with loading and securing flatbed trailers.
• Verify materials against shipping documents before loading.
• Maintain inventory organization and ensure materials are properly stored.
• Communicate with production, shipping, and management teams to support timely deliveries.
• Monitor employee performance and assist with training as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
• Enforce company safety procedures and quality standards.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 14:30 PM

Saturdays might be working days too depending on the week.

Requirements

• Previous experience supervising a team of 3–4 employees.
• Experience working in a structural steel, steel fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Forklift experience required.
• Flatbed trailer experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor industrial environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around heavy equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
