Per Diem Home Health Nurse Practitioner; NP; Winchester, Virginia

This per diem opportunity allows experienced Nurse Practitioners to perform vital health assessments for Medicare Advantage plan members, supporting improved health management in the comfort of their own homes.

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts available between Monday and Sunday

• Minimum weekly or bi-weekly hourly commitment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive home health risk assessments, including annual and post-discharge evaluations
• Review and assess prior and current medical history, conditions, and medication usage
• Deliver clear education to patients about medical conditions and prescribed medications
• Identify gaps in patient care and provide practical recommendations to resolve them
• No requirement to develop treatment plans or prescribe medications

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• Current CPR (BLS) certification
• Board certification through AANP or ANCC
• Minimum of six months recent Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
• MSN degree from an accredited nursing program

Professionals in this role earn $80-$90 per evaluation, with an additional mileage stipend and compensation for administrative time.
