Emergency Veterinarian – Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program

Location:

Winchester, VA (off‑site training at Bowie, MD). 6‑month training program (June 2026 start date) with a 1‑year commitment as an ER clinician at VVERC thereafter.

VVERC has been a trusted name in emergency care for over 25 years. The hospital began in 1998 with 19 local veterinarians and became part of Ethos Veterinary Health in 2018. It offers a modern facility with a full surgical suite, advanced monitoring, diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy, therapeutic laser, Heska cytology, and ezyVet software. • 6‑month hybrid training program (simulation‑based didactics plus live patient experience)
• Competency‑based curriculum with asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
• Full surgical suite, advanced monitoring, diagnostic ultrasound, endoscopy, therapeutic laser, Heska cytology, ezyVet software
• Dedicated mentor on shifts; no on‑call duties
• Surgical training required

• Provide comprehensive emergency veterinary care for dogs and cats under supervision.
• Participate in surgical procedures and diagnostic evaluations.
• Document patient care accurately and engage in team reflections and daily check‑ins.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold a respectful, fun, and safe work environment.

• Active U.S. veterinary license.
• Team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
• Strong passion for emergency medicine.
• Commitment to completing the 6‑month program and the 1‑year ER clinician role thereafter.
