This position will work out of our Winchester, VA office and supports our contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The role involves monitoring and analysis of quality control inspector performance, assigning assessments to QC inspectors, and supporting field performance evaluation and training. It requires a flexible schedule that may include overtime, weekends, and 24‑hour operations.

Job Description Your Impact Readiness
  • Assist in the development of education materials.
  • Provide ongoing dialogue with inspectors regarding availability.
  • Assist with mapping scenarios for disaster response.
  • Assist in performance evaluation and grading of inspectors for future deployment.
  • Prepare reports for monitoring and analysis of routine and quality control inspector production.
  • Participate in corrective actions and continual improvement of initial and QC production analysis and assessment assignment processes.
  • Test processes and technologies through all development stages, sharing observations and feedback when appropriate.
  • Maintain SOP and ISO documentation, including corrective action plans and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Deployment
  • Work closely with Production and Operations management to ensure short‑term and long‑term production goals are achieved.
  • Address daily inquiries from inspectors on a variety of concerns or issues, reporting and coordinating with Production management when appropriate.
  • Analyze, report findings, and take appropriate action on all inspector performance issues including quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and track QC production to meet FEMA contract requirements.
  • Assign initial, QC, and other assessments as needed, using approved processes.
  • Adjust work areas for inspectors in disasters to ensure timely, cost‑effective assessment completion.
  • Report to and coordinate with Production and Field Operations management on disaster deployment needs.
  • Communicate policy changes, administrative directives, and bulletins to inspectors as required.
  • Track and initiate remedial action to correct performance deficiencies.
  • Document internal databases and coordinate all stages of deployment.
  • Select inspectors to confirm availability and deploy as required using approved tools and criteria.
  • Track and monitor inspector timesheets and expense reports during field deployment.
  • Map and plot inspectors and assessments and defined work areas using approved tools.
  • Monitor inspector assessment aging in the field to maximize production and minimize turnaround times.
  • Position QC inspector workforce from disaster start to completion.
  • Track and expedite special assignment requests.
  • Communicate, retrieve and troubleshoot assessments using FEMA software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • HS diploma required; BA degree strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; experience with FEMA grant programs strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required.
  • Experience with GIS applications desired.
  • Demonstrated analytical, collaboration and multitasking skills.
  • Self‑motivated and a team player.
  • Effective communicator.
