Territory Manager – Wholesale Fuel Division

Position focused on new business development and account management of the wholesale fuel division. Recruiting and maintaining profitable branded and unbranded dealer accounts within an assigned territory to support the mission and vision statements. Responsible for business development and volume growth. Oversees a group of accounts and reports directly to the Area Sales Manager.

Pay $80K plus commission

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure new account setup details (pricing, freight, taxes, invoice requirements) are in place.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor sales efforts and programs within assigned territory.
  • Build and update account plans for key growth customers, ensuring contract requirements are met.
  • Optimize the company’s return on capital deployed.
  • Counsel and support customers on retailing factors including competitive pricing, customer service, retail facility appearance, and cleanliness.
  • Identify opportunities through prospecting, customer relationship management, and external resources. Develop business plans, sales proposals, and present proposals to potential new and existing customers.
  • Maintain documentation of sales activities, customer efficiency, and related expenses. Prepare and submit sales plans as required.
  • Assume accountability for individual site volume performance; attain quantitative and qualitative performance within assigned territory. Organize and execute annual client reviews.
  • Oversee and manage approved contractors and vendors, delivering scope, schedule, and budget of all assigned imaging and customer support projects.
  • Self‑directed, motivated, and time efficient; eliminate non‑value‑added activities to drive results.
  • Work closely with internal real‑estate groups, external brokerages, and internet resources to source potential wholesale marketer acquisitions.
  • Maintain knowledge of brand requirements and ensure necessary remedies are completed.
  • Understand and analyze P&L reports as well as fuel financial and sales reports.
  • Partner with customers to develop long‑term relationships, generate additional sales, and guide problem resolution discussions.
  • Attend industry conventions and develop professional relationships.
  • Advise customers on equipment upgrades and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Demonstrate leadership by directing sales calls, managing contracts, and closing sales.
  • Keep sales pipeline full and manage opportunities through all stages to achieve sales volume.
  • Perform analysis of potential new business deals and contract renewals; present pro‑forma to executive team.
  • Maintain accurate customer details in CRM and communicate with customers and company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 3–5 years’ experience in the field.
  • 5+ years of sales management with focus on new business development, marketing, and merchandising.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • At least 2 years of prior customer service experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Fuel industry experience with branded and unbranded programs.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
Hours & Travel

Full‑time position requiring some overnight travel.
