We're seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated motor shop technician. Applicants must possess a desire to learn and have electric and mechanical experience.
You will be working on a diverse group of products including AC and DC motors, pumps and gear units.
Special attention will be paid to those who are already experienced within the motor industry, have machining and winding knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITES- Maintain, test, rebuild and repair electric motors, transformers, switch gear, generators and other electrical apparatus, both AC and DC.
- Replace and recondition shafts, bearings and other components.
- Test, repair or replace wiring or components of electrical switch gear and have an understanding of electrical theory.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Ability to work with or without supervision and able to make decisions independently.
- Abide by company Health and Safety guidelines and obtain necessary industry-related safety training.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
- Applicants should have their own basic hand tools.
- Drivers license, crane and forklift certificate
- Safety boots are required.
- Minimum grade 12 education (or equivalent) preferred with communication skills in English and strong mathematic and writing skills is an asset.
- Relevant work experience will be an asset. Will consider ticketed Auto Mechanics with an understanding of Electrics who are looking for a career change.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of industrial processes and applications using careful attention to detail.
- Safety training certificates are an asset.
$40,000-$65,000 per year based on experience
