Production Supervisor

Winder, GA |  | Full time

Salary
: $80,200.00 - $ annually (base). Eligible for incentive bonus.

Position Overview

The purpose of the Production Supervisor’s role is to supervise the day‑to‑day activities of an hourly production team for a single product line to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste, and quality standards. The supervisor coordinates training, enforces safety guidelines, and interfaces with other departments to support production.

Schedule:

rotating shift from days to nights on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team.
  • Plan and schedule equipment utilization, maintain maximum productivity levels, investigate root causes of scrap, process excursions, quality complaints, and fire investigations.
  • Ensure production team understands and complies with established safety, environmental, quality, and process controls.
  • Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, and expenditure control.
  • Accurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner.
  • Transmit production performance statistics and concerns to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent; make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare labor, material, and equipment usage reports.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Your Day‑to‑Day
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Manages a staff of 50 hourly employees, sets direction and deploys resources; responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and termination.
  • Work environment typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions such as cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
  • Minimal travel required (0–10 days per year).
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
