Job Title: Petcare/Daycare Attendant
Department: Pet Care
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Classification: Part Time Non Exempt
Pet Care and Day Care attendants provide a high level of care to all animals boarding with us, including those staying for playtime in indoor and outdoor daycare areas. Tasks include monitoring playtimes, interacting with dogs and correcting behavioral concerns, keeping the yard and boarding areas clean and safe, creating report cards, daily chores, and bathing/nail trims. Pet Care and Day Care Attendants are expected to interact with clients and display an exceptional level of customer service regardless of work assignment and location.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Supervising dog day care groups; engaging the dogs with enrichment and play activities; preventing and responding appropriately to animal fights or behavioral conflicts.
- Routinely cleaning and sanitizing resort areas including play yards, boarding rooms, and lobbies; removing all forms of pet waste as necessary.
- Preparing meals according to specified instructions; ensuring access to clean water.
- Preparing and administering medications to specified instructions.
- Accurately and consistently tracking and logging pet activities such as feedings and medication administration.
- Monitoring pet behavior and activities for safety; reporting health concerns to other members of the team (General Manager and/or Shift Supervisor).
- Adhering to all pet and human safety protocols at all times.
- Providing excellent service to Pawville customers both over the phone, in writing, and in person.
- Professionally and positively representing Pawville by conducting yourself in a manner that is in the best interest of Pawville, customers, and team members.
- Ability to comfortably interact and handle dogs of varying sizes/weights, breeds, and in varying group sizes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Flexibility and reliability to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to function well independently in a sometimes stressful environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Pet care experience and/or training preferred.
- Proficiency with using office equipment (such as phones, computers, printers) preferred.

- Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours without a break.
- Kneel, bend, squat, and twist their body.
- Repetitive hand and arm movement; reach, grab, pull, and push objects.
- Perform duties in an environment with loud sounds from animals and smells from pet waste and cleaning chemicals.
- Perform work both indoors and outdoors; experience temperature changes according to season, building heating and cooling, and weather.
- Lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
