Description

This position is split evenly between classroom teaching and directorship of Eastern’s on-campus Art Gallery. The Gallery Director oversees Eastern’s permanent art collection of nearly 2,000 works of modern and contemporary art, maintains an active exhibition program, engages the campus and regional community, prepares grant applications and cultivates donors in partnership with the Office of Alumni and Development, manages the budget for acquisitions and events, and supervises Gallery staff.

The faculty member is expected to demonstrate a commitment to Eastern’s public Liberal Arts mission, including teaching, student advisement and mentoring, scholarly activity, service to the department and University, and ongoing professional development.
