Position SummaryThe Process Engineering Manager is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the engineering group to improve productivity, quality, capacity expansion, and the production of new products and new materials through the development and application of new manufacturing technologies. The role provides direct supervision and development of four process engineers.
Job Responsibilities- Utilize project management techniques to forecast, manage, and coordinate project budgets and schedules.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to achieve the annual plan of proficiency projects.
- Lead and enforce a culture of safety, health and environment within the team and daily tasks.
- Recruit, develop and guide resources to improve total performance and productivity.
- Effectively manage multiple, complex tasks and handle pressure on a daily basis.
- Prepare and update the capital plan annually to support the business plan and manage capital project execution within budget and timeline.
- Develop and maintain process standards, procedures and specifications to ensure consistent product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 7–10 years of process improvement management in manufacturing.
- Results‑driven individual with demonstrated ability to create and work in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.
- Excellent team and leadership skills as team member, trainer, and developer.
- Proven success in project management.
- Ability to motivate, communicate, and drive continuous improvement implementation.
- Good understanding of business principles and practices and ability to create financial solutions with a bottom‑line result.
- Approx. 70% of the time spent walking and standing on a concrete production floor, often using stairs.
- Exposed to hot, humid conditions up to 50% of the time.
