Located in Willimantic, CT, Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) is a state public liberal arts university dedicated to providing high‑quality undergraduate and select graduate programs to a diverse student population.
We are currently accepting applications for multiple Connecticut POST Certified Police Officer positions to work on campus in Windham County.

- Must be available to work all shifts.
- Candidates must hold current State of Connecticut POSTC certification.
- Must have been certified for over two years to be considered.
- Respond to emergencies and requests for assistance; provide crowd control at events.
- Monitor designated areas to ensure physical security and authorized access, preventing theft, trespassing, and vandalism.
- Provide directions and routine information to the public; conduct criminal and other investigations of violations, suspicious activities, or reported incidents.
- Direct traffic and enforce motor vehicle and parking regulations.
- Conduct on‑site investigations, question witnesses, arrest individuals at scenes, and issue summonses.
- Record information and serve as a dispatcher when necessary.
- Certification as a law enforcement officer in the State of Connecticut pursuant to Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council regulations.
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States by date of appointment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state police officer license and, where required, hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must be eligible and qualified to bear arms.
- Must meet the physical fitness requirements, including a physical fitness assessment and comprehensive medical examination.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and proof‑reading experience.
- May be required to maintain certifications such as EMT, CPR, and First Aid.
- May be required to travel and accept assignments or transfers to any region of the state.
- Must have the capability to pass a swim test, including swimming 100 yards within four minutes.
