ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Roots to Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. R2R is located in Willimantic. There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment program. Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency room staff and/or detox programs.

Clients with co‑occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted. Clients cannot work during their stay but can start looking for work 3 weeks prior to program completion.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains physical environment and program standards set by funders, accreditors, and agency policies.
  • Monitor self‑administration of client medications in accordance with the agency medication policies and procedure as program may require.
  • Effectively utilize appropriate communication methods/tools to collaborate with co‑workers and clients.
  • Teach and assist all residents in areas of developmentally appropriate activities of daily living.
  • Assist/Manage administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
  • Prepare and facilitate educational and skill‑building groups and one‑to‑one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
  • Collaborate and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
  • Assist residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High diploma or GED required.

Experience: Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.

Training: CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

COMPENSATION

$18/hr

  • Our per diem and fee for service positions offer a flat hourly rate.
